Envelope Stuffing Jobs – Things To Consider Before Getting Involved - By Anna Allen

“Earn $1000’s Weekly Stuffing Envelopes.” “Want to Work From Home? Here’s your Chance at $12 per Envelope.” “Stuffing Envelope Jobs – Earn Thousands Weekly at Home! $5 per Envelope. Start Now.”

Any of the above ads look familiar? They should. Every last one of them is an actual ad that I found. They are plastered everywhere whether it’s the Newspaper, Magazine Ads and even on the Internet.

How many of you actually believe those ads? Believe it or not, many people actually do believe them. Years ago, I was one of them. I kept seeing these ads over and over again so I figured they were legitimate. I ended up responding to a few of the ads but never heard back from any of them. Surprise, surprise!

Actually, back then, I was surprised. I was young and naive and never thought people would lie just to get people’s money. Boy was I wrong. Since that time, I’ve come across several other people who fell for those outrageous claims. I even have a family member who fell for a similar mail out scam and spent over $700 on envelopes and stamps and even went to Kinko’s to have the circular printed out. How much did he make on that Envelope Stuffing job? Not one dime! I decided to do some research on Envelope Stuffing. I was actually amazed at what I discovered. If you are seriously considering responding to any of these Envelope Stuffing ads, here are some things to consider:

* What is required – There are actually several different Envelope Stuffing scams out there, so it depends on which scam you’ve come across. According to the ads, there really isn’t much required at all. You basically just have to stuff envelopes with the company’s mail out or flyer, address the envelope, put postage on it and seal it. Then take the whole package of envelopes to the company so they can mail them out, or some companies want you to take them to the post office and mail them yourself.

Now that doesn’t sound so hard, does it? It actually isn’t that hard, the only thing is that many times after you’ve stuffed all the envelopes and followed the directions, these many of these companies will not pay you and use the excuse that you did not do the job according to their requirements. So, they got you to do all that work, which you mailed out then they make an excuse not to pay you. Or, they will claim that none of the envelopes you mailed out brought in a sale. The thing is, they never told you that your pay would be based on commission.

Some Envelope Stuffing scams, like the one my family member fell for, require you to purchase all the envelopes, stamps and copies of the circular and have you mail them out to different lists of people (you have to buy a list of prospects as well). You then mail out a copy of the circular and you get to keep all the money people send you. This is a type of pyramid scheme that has been around for years and is still going strong, so beware.

Another Envelope Stuffing scam is after you pay them a fee they send you instructions on how to write and place ads (just like the one you fell for). So basically, they are teaching you to scam people like they scammed you.

* Do they charge a fee – Do not pay any fee of any kind no matter how small the amount may be. Some companies will claim that the fee is to pay for stamps, supplies, etc. Don’t believe it! A legitimate company who is requiring your services would not ask you to pay any kind of fee for signing up. No company even has the right to ask you for money before you work for them. You are there to perform a service or job for them, so you should not have to pay them anything. Some people may reason that they were only asked to pay anywhere from $1 to $3, which might not seem like a lot of money. But if 3000 people respond to that ad and send them $1 to $3 each, they’ve made $3000 to $9000! That can really ad up especially if they advertised in some of the bigger National magazines. So do your research so you won’t get scammed.

* Don’t believe the hype - Any company that tells you that you will be making thousands of dollars by simply stuffing envelopes is lying. Stay away from them. You can not make that much money just by stuffing envelopes. Why do I say that? Well today, most envelope stuffing is done by machine. Manual envelope stuffing is too costly and is done in great volume by high speed machines. No company is going to pay people thousands of dollars every week to stuff envelopes for them when they can invest in these machines and only have to pay for it once.

These people make these ridiculous claims because they know that there are gullible people out there looking for easy ways to make money. Open your eyes! Don’t fall for it. You have been warned.

* Do your research - You must do your research before getting involved with any company. Don’t just automatically sign up with any company advertising envelope stuffing. Check with the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints against the company. Do a search on Google. Check online forums. Just make sure you do the research.

Then I would take them back to the company and they would write me out a check. I shared the money with my family since they helped me out. It took a lot of time and if I didn’t take time each day to do it, I’d get behind, and then I’d be up late filling out the address and putting the stamps on them. I did that job for a year.

* Can you make money Stuffing Envelopes – When I worked for that company, I used to get paid around $210 a week. That was not a lot of money, especially after I shared it with my family for their help. I did because it helped them out each week and it gave me a little extra spending money.

* Is it worth the fuss - I had to ask myself if it was worth all the fuss to do that kind of work. Was it worth the lousy $210 I’d get each week? What did my family think about it? We all dreaded it each week, but we liked getting paid. The thing is, by the time I got through splitting the money with my family, there wasn’t much left for me. Plus, I had to report that on MY taxes each year, not my family. So in the long run, it wasn’t worth it for me. You may find it different in your case.

* Envelope stuffing is now called "home mailing" or "e-mail processing" - Envelope stuffing is a very popular old scam that's now being repackaged as e-mail processing. These companies are very clever and are realizing that many people are catching on to their scam so they are now changing their wording and calling it something else, but it works the same way as the other Envelope Stuffing scams.

Although there are a few legitimate Envelope Stuffing jobs out there, like most too-good-to-be-true offers, Envelope Stuffing jobs are scams that continue to suck new people in year after year. Envelope stuffing is an example of people who use persuasive skills and create an illusion of "easy money" - to lure people in and entice them to send in their money.

The FTC is actually cracking down on this type of fraud. Many newspapers are also cracking down on them by not allowing ads for Envelope Stuffing jobs. Despite all their efforts, I don’t think that they will ever stop all the Envelope Stuffing scams out there. Envelope Stuffing scams have been around for over 50 years. Firstly, resale rights are generally split into three areas:

As many of you know, a good way to boost your affiliate commission is: offering your bonus. Give away free bonus to customer who bought a product through your affiliate link. This strategy has been discussed over and over again, but many affiliates are clueless on how to do it right.

When you offer a bonus, there's one very important principle that you should bear in mind: your bonus MUST add value to the product. Impress your prospects, or don't even bother. You do not want to offer a 99p report that you got from eBay, or something that everyone and his dog have. If your bonus is lousy, your reputation will ruin faster than you think.

Hopefully the following tips will give you some ideas on how to create your bonuses. I have used the strategies and watch my affiliate commissions soar. I believe yours will too.

1.Create a quick start guide: Most customers are clueless when they first bought the product you recommend. Ideally you do not want to promote something that you haven't use. As a user, you have first hand experience with the products. Create a guide that will help them to get started quickly with the product. This can be a video tutorial or PDF guide.

2.Offer your helps: Does the product require some technical skills to get it running? If so, offer your helps and service to customer who bought through your affiliate link. This strategy works well with software promotion. You can offer free installation of the software for your customers. Many vendors charge small fees for software installation. If you can offer this service, not only that you will save the customers' money, but also build solid relationship with them. Many prospects are non-techcie and will thank you for this. In addition to service, you can also offer to coach your customers. As mentioned you should know the product better than your customers. Offer emails or phone consultation.

3.Interview the experts and record it: It is easy to do with Skype and recorders. When marketers launch their products, they want exposure. Make a friendly call to them to arrange for interviews. Before that do your survey well and ask the appropriate questions. Make sure the interview contains some useful tips, not just hypes and sales pitch. You might also want to go as far as offering a transcript of the interview. Some of your prospects might be from other side of globe and have hard time understanding your slang. Create a transcript for them.

4.Conference calls: Organize a conference call for your customers to discuss on how to best use the products, give away useful tips, or you can offer live tutorial on how to get started with the product, just like strategy #1 that I mentioned just now. The difference is, instead of creating a guide, you give live presentation. Don't forget to record the calls and give away to customers who miss it.

5.Rebate: this is the easiest way to offer a "bonus". Ideally, you rebate half of your affiliate commission to your customers. Be careful while using this strategy as it is frowned upon by some affiliate network like Clickbank. However I've seen many Clickbank affiliates doing it without getting banned. Use the strategy at your own's risk.

7.Voucher/coupons: Offer vouchers or coupons to your customers. You can sometimes get vouchers/coupons at bargain price from eBay, or you can do a search from Google. Here's an example: If you sell Adwords related products, offer your customers Adwords coupon. There are some good bargains on Adwords coupon in Digitalpoint forum. In the past I've bought a coupon worth $100 with only $37.

Any of these ads look familiar? They should, you can find them plastered all over the Internet and in most classified newspaper ads. Data Entry Jobs are currently the latest rage. It seems everyone wants to do them. In fact, I did a check to see how many times people typed in the phrase, ‘data entry’ (with Overture’s Keyword Selector Tool) and found that last month there were 38,490 searches for Data Entry; and that’s not counting all the searches on Google, MSN or any of the hundreds of other search engines on the Internet! That’s also not counting the other phrases people could have typed in, such as; ‘data entry jobs,’ ‘make money with data entry,’ ‘online data entry’ or many other phrases associated with Data Entry.

Why are so many people interested in Data Entry Jobs? Well think about it. You get to work from home (in your pajamas if you want), spend more time with your family, don’t have to worry about leaving your house and getting stuck in that traffic, and you don’t have to hate it every time the alarm goes off each morning. I mean, how irresistible is that?

I decided to do a bit of research on these so-called ‘Data Entry Jobs.’ What did I find? Well, I will tell you this; many of the companies I researched had a lot in common. Now let me start off by saying that I researched some of the more popular Data Entry Programs. What I found was many of these programs had very misleading ads and websites with outrageous promises. Customer service was also very poor and in some cases nonexistent. I emailed some of them to ask a simple question and I never got a response.

Some of the Data Entry programs I researched were from Clickbank’s Marketplace. All of these I found were actually eBooks that tell you, or even show you how you can make money using Google AdWords to sell their product or other Clickbank products. (That is not Data Entry. That is actually Affiliate Marketing.) So in reality, once you join and pay the registration fee for these Data Entry Programs, you will receive the training materials that will teach you how to type more ‘data entry ads’ and convince other people to do the same thing. What they fail to tell you is that YOU have to pay for the ads you place and you ONLY make money IF you make a sale. When I made this discovery I was outraged because not only are these programs misleading, as you actually do not make money for the data entry itself, you only get money if you sell a product, these programs are also fraud and contain false information. That has the word SCAM written all over it. In fact, after further research, I discovered that Clickbank actually had these so-called Data Entry Programs removed from their Marketplace. Why? Well, even though these products were very popular and sold very easily, they also have a very high return rate, which Clickbank frowns upon. That right there should tell you something.

So are Data Entry Jobs scams? In my opinion I don't think that Data Entry Programs themselves are scams. It's the WAY they are presented and sell their product to the public that's misleading. As mentioned earlier, this is nothing more than Affiliate Marketing, which is not Data Entry.

So how does one go about finding legitimate Data Entry Jobs? The key is to find an honest and reliable freelancing data entry job. This is going to require time on your part. You are going to have to do your homework and put in the effort required to find these legitimate jobs. Don’t worry. I have listed a few of the best places to look.

You can use search engines to help you find reliable companies. There are many review sites out there that will give you an unbiased review of data entry programs. Please don’t go into this kind of search believing EVERYTHING you read from these review sites. Believe it or not, there are a lot of review sites that are still promoting data entry programs from Clickbank, which as mentioned earlier are mostly scams.

Another great place to look for data entry jobs is Webmaster forums. Many webmasters are constantly looking to save time by hiring other people to do manual labor so they can focus more on advertising and updating their web sites. Some forums even let you advertise your services, but some also charge you a fee for this, so once again, do your research.

A great place I recently discovered to look for Data Entry Jobs is www.Craigslist.org. Craig’s List is the largest online classified website on the Internet. I used to think it only listed things to buy or sell, but during my research, I discovered they also have a section called “Gigs" which includes a section on ‘Writing’ where people are always looking for someone to do data entry work.

There are many other job sites such as Monster.com, Yahoo and even HotJobs where you can find data entry jobs in your area. Remember to take your time and do a thorough search because you need to insure that you are signing up with a reliable program so that you do not get scammed.

The best way to make sure that you are dealing with a reliable company is to go to www.BBB.org and check out the company you are interested in. The BBB grades companies using their rating system and has official information and customer praise and complaints about most businesses. It’s the best place to find unbiased and accurate information.

So in conclusion, Data Entry Jobs can be a real money making opportunity. Just remember, as with any industry, there are scammers out there who know what you want to hear and are ready to ‘tickle your ears’ with their ads promising instant riches. Don’t fall for them. Do your homework and you will be fine.

The good news is that if you haven’t started your holiday promotions, you still have time to do so. Contrary to the popular claim that Cyber Monday is the biggest online shopping day of the year, Comscore ranks it as the 12th busiest shopping day and most e-tailers report their peak days happening between December 5th and the 15th.

Better yet, the opportunity for new and seasoned affiliate marketers continues to expand. Disenchanted with holiday shopping crowds, limited selection and stock, a record 114 million people are forecast to buy online this year; and the average consmer will spend $728 - compared to $681 in 2006.

Here are 10 basic points to consider as you prepare both your site and your paid search campaigns.

Know your merchants’ shipping cut-off dates and inventory status. Merchants will communicate this information to affiliates either through email or their sites. Cease paid search campaigns for those merchants and or products that are out of stock or that cannot reach the consumer in time for Christmas delivery.
Look for last minute opportunities. Promote gift cards and certificates for merchants that pay a referal fee, such as Amazon which is paying 6% on gift certificates until December 31st. Be aware of those merchants that offer express shipping and in-store pickup.
Know what your audience wants. The most popular items to promote include clothing, books, toys, music, fragrances, consumer electronics and gift baskets.
Seek out specialty merchants. Brookstone.com, Hammacher Schlemmer, and Sharper Image all specialize in higher-end, unique gift items.
Limit the number of merchants that you promote to a manageable number. Seek out those that don’t sell offline and/or offer expanded online selection. Refrain from promoting merchants that have stores in every town or that offer in-store only deals and pricing, ie. Circuit City, Best Buy and WalMart.
Get in touch with your merchant partners. Ask them what their recommedations are regarding hot product and best deals.
Address your visitors’ concern for price. Promote those merchants that offer the best prices, deals and coupons.
Focus on your paid search campaigns. Budget for higher volume and review ad costs and sales reports from merchants and ad campaigns daily. 58% of people shop at work on Mondays after a frustrating weekend shopping offline, so where possible (MSN Adcenter) target your ads to specific days of the week, or times of the day. Consider direct linking (arbitrage) where permitted by your merchant partners.
Increase your broadcast message frequency. Your subscribers are actively looking for deals at this time of year - be the first to tell them about the best ones!
Stay focused. While we all want to have the perfect site that promotes all the best merchants; limit your site changes, landing page creations and paid search campaigns to a number that you can handle.

If you have ever tried or are currently trying to succeed with affiliate marketing, I can almost guarantee that your system of trying to make money looks something like this:

1. You decide that you want to make money with affiliate marketing.

2. You sign up free at clickbank

3. You choose the most popular product that you think will make you the most money.

4. You advertise your affiliate link

5. You hope that people join so you can earn money

This is actually what I call the affiliate marketing "Failure Formula." If you try to make money with affiliate marketing following this same failure formula that most people do, you are guaranteed to fail.

While there are dozens of things wrong with the 5 step process above, I will focus on 2 of the main items left out. In fact, it is estimated that only 2% of all people involved in affiliate marketing use the following two steps on a regular basis. It is no surprise though that they are the most successful 2%.

First mistake: In the scenario above, the affiliate link was advertised directly. You never, ever, ever advertise your affiliate link directly. If you want to have any success in affiliate marketing, you MUST get your own url. You can get a URL for under $10 so there is no excuse for not having one.

Nobody, and I mean nobody is going to click on those ugly clickbank links. In fact, it is estimated that you will get as much as 900% more clicks on your link by using a personal url. Think of what an increase in clicks of 900% can do for your bottom line.

So, all you have to do is purchase your own URL for under $10 and then forward it to your affiliate link, right? WRONG!

Having the url is not enough. If you want to build a successful LONTERM affiliate marketing business, you also need a capture page.

Second Mistake: In the scenario above, all traffic was being directed directly to the sales page. So what happens with all of that targeted traffic that you worked so hard to get to your site? Well, one of two things happens. They buy and you make a one time commission on them. Or, most likely, they stay on your site for 30 seconds or less and leave.

In either case, if you are trying to build an affiliate marketing business, you lose out. In the first case you may be thinking, but wait, I earned some money on that person. This is true. But, if you had "captured" that persons name and email address you could be profiting from that person for years and years on multiple products. It is a proven fact that most of the profits made in affiliate marketing on on the "back end" or in "upsells" after somebody buys so you are losing out on tons and tons of money.

In the second case, you just wasted all of your money and time that you spent on advertsing. If you had set up a capture page, you could have captured the name and email of the prospect before they went to the sales page. Then, you could continue to market to them and eventually create a sale. In affiliate marketing, and in marketing in general, it takes on average 7 exposures for people to buy. If you are only giving them one exposure, you are again throwing money out the window.

So, before you get started in affiliate marketing, it is absolutely necessary to have two things:

1. Your own personal URL (should be specific to the types of products you are promoting).

2. Your own capture page that collects the name and email of visitors BEFORE they go to the sales page. This not only builds a targeted list for you, but it allows you to create more sales, back end sales, up sales, and offer additional products in the future.

Success in affiliate marketing is about making money with the same list over and over again.

Remember, those experiencing the most success in affiliate marketing are doing the 2 things above. Don't reinvent the wheel. Affiliate marketing is much, much easier when you follow the successful systems that have already been proven for you.

Here is how to create a AdWords campaign in Google. First off to create a new keyword campaign, click the link” Keyword-Targeted” campaign. You will be prompted to name your campaign. Your campaign name is what will be displayed on the first screen when you log into your Google AdWords account. Since you will most likely have several campaigns, when you name your campaign you will want to make sure it is unique name that will let you know exactly what you are advertising in that campaign. Next you will need to name your AdGroup. Remember, you will have several different AdGroups with one Campaign, so name it something that will help you know exactly what keywords are in that AdGroup. Next, you should choose the area(s) where you want your ads to appear. There are three different ways to choose where you want to advertise. You can choose to advertise by Countries and Territories, Regions and Cities, or Customized.

The most important thing you need in order to have a successful Google campaign is a text ad with a high CTR. Text Ads with a high CTR will increase your Quality Score which will increase your overall position.

Things You Should Know:

1. You are not required to have “http:” or “www” in your display URL.

2. Google will not let you capitalize all the letters in all your words, but they

will let you capitalize most of your words.

3. The website must not require additional software to load (example: it

cannot be a .pdf instead of .htm).

4. Back button must be able to go back to Google with one click.

5. You can’t have websites that mirror other websites that are advertised for

the same keyword (example: having the same pictures and text but using

a different web address). I know many affiliates do this, but I don’t know

how much Google enforces this rule.

6. The website you are advertising cannot have a pop up or pup under ad.

Another key to having a successful online business is making sure that every single person who is even the slightest bit interested in your product sees your advertisement. The best way to do this is by creating a very huge keyword list (thousands of keywords). Some products have many keywords, while others have very few. Usually the more keywords there are available for the product, the better. Not because it is searched more often, but also because most people who are also selling the same product will only select a few general keywords which may be very broad keywords.

When you bid on Google, you will not always pay the price you enter. The price you enter is the MCPC (Maximum Cost Per Click) you are willing to pay for that keyword. Google constantly updating the bids for the keywords in their search engine. For example if your MCPC is $0.15 and the advertiser in front of you is bidding $0.16 and the Ad one position behind you is bidding $0.05, you will only pay $0.06 per click, because there is no reason why you should have to pay $0.15 per click if you can get the same Ad position for $0.06 per click.

I’ve written a few simple rules to help you deal with the reality of working at home with young children. Your day may not go exactly like this, but at times it will probably come pretty close.

1. Start your day by telling the kids you are going to be working. Make sure you have enough time for last-minute demands, such as the urgent need to play “just one” game of Chutes and Ladders.

2. Remind kids of when they can disturb you while you work. “No, wanting a cookie is not an emergency.” “Yes, you can tell me if the cat is on fire.”

3. Remind husband of when he can disturb you while you work. “No, that’s not an emergency either. Give me a back rub after I’m done working and we’ll talk.”

4. Chase cat out of home office.

5. Clean up dishes from around computer. Take to kitchen and remind everyone they are supposed to eat in the kitchen, not the office.

6. Get cat out of office chair and put outside.

7. Get toddler out of office chair and send to Daddy. Close office door.

8. Hear toddler pounding on office door. Find teddy bear tucked behind computer and give to toddler.

9. Start working.

10. Hear kids arguing in hall just outside your office door. Remind them to be quiet for you. Try to get them to stop telling you their side of the story. Send kids to husband for mediation.

11. Take a deep breath. Get back to work.

12. Husband knocks on door to ask when dinner will be ready. With great restraint, remind him that it’s his night to cook.

13. Try to remember what you were doing. Start new project when you can’t figure it out.

14. Toddler comes in covered in paints. Older child follows, saying he didn’t either leave them out. Yell to husband to give toddler a bath.

15. Find paint all over your paperwork. Do your best to clean it.

16. Main phone line rings. Answer because husband is too busy giving toddler a bath. Tell friend no you can’t watch her kids for her tomorrow. Remind her that you do WORK at home.

17. Answer call that beeps through on call waiting. Tell mother-in-law no, you aren’t interested in the outside the home job she just heard about. Yes, you are earning enough working at home. No, it isn’t just a hobby. Explain you are working and can’t talk for long. Hear all the reasons she thinks you need to find a different job.

18. Retreat back to office before kids realize you aren’t in there.

19. Get some work done fast while the getting is good.

20. Soaking wet toddler comes charging in and demands you help dress her. Try to send to Daddy. Calm toddler’s tantrum as she insists she wants MOMMY to do it. Decide dressing her is faster than trying to calm her down other ways. Send clothed toddler back to Daddy.

21. Try to get settled back into working.

22. Hear smoke alarm go off. Dinner must be ready. Take a break and get something to eat with the family.

23. Head back to work. Find out you missed the call you had been expecting. Call them back.

24. Computer crashes. Wait for it to reboot.

25. Realize you hadn’t saved the file you were working on. Autosave didn’t quite get it all. Try to remember what you had been doing.

26. Realize your internet connection isn’t working. Try to get automated tech support to give you a real person.

27. Kids come thundering into the room for bedtime hugs and to ask for a story. Take a break and enjoy.

28. Chase cat back out of office.

29. Find out cat walked all over your keyboard, deleting half your file and inserting random text.

30. Toddler has to go potty and won’t let Daddy help. Once that’s done, help toddler back to bed.

31. Peace and quiet at last. Get some work done before you fall asleep.

I used to get up every morning, get my kids ready for school or the babysitter, and then try and get myself ready for work. You have to work to pay the bills, but you want to be a mom or dad to your kids, too. And, after paying everyone else, there was barely any money left for bills. I am about to tell you a few things that may change your life, and make you much, much happier!

#1: Work at home Parenting: You DO have to set special time aside for work, and work alone. If your kids are in school, that would be the perfect time. If you have very young children, a good time would be naptime, and bedtime. Although you're going to be tired yourself, stay up for an extra hour or two. It is well worth it.

#2: Keep all of your work papers organized, and in an out-of-reach place. I didn't do this when I started, and it was a disaster! I wrote notes and ideas in a notebook that I kept at my computer, and when I tried to look up something, there was scribble all over the place. I bought a 3-ring binder, and put it on top of my fridge. Ever since, it has been smooth sailing!

#3: If you are thinking of having your own business, make sure to tell your customers that you have children. This will make things much smoother. When I started, I never even thought of telling anyone. A few of my customers were getting annoyed because I would be trying to talk to them, but they couldn't hear me over my kids! (you know that even when your kids are out of the room, and behaving, as soon as you pick up that telephone, it sound like world war 3 started in your house!) After I started to tell my customers that I had children, and I apologized for any inconvenience BEFORE I spoke with the customer, I didn't get anymore bad reactions from them.

#4: There are lots of ways to make money online, and I have found that I can make more money from just working on my computer than I was when I went to work at a brick-and-mortar store. And it's all mine! No gas, uniforms, babysitters, etc. Not to mention that since I have no college education, I can't have a 'career', I can only work at fast-food places. Which, you may already know, REALLY wears you down fast. Then you have to come home and take care of your kids, and try to get in a whole day in about an hour. It just doesn't work. There are so many choices for you online: paid surveys, affiliate marketing, online auctions, and more!

#5: Research: You have to research all of your different options before you start working online. Read what other people have to say about certain fields. What works for one person doesn't work for everyone.

#6: Keep with it. When I first started, it was hard. I didn't have a balance between my home life and my work-at-home life. You have to find your own way to even these out, or you're going to go crazy. The way I do it is I get up, get the kids off to school, come home and work online for an hour or two. Then I do some housework, get the kids from school, eat dinner, and when they are done with their homework, when they are watching tv, I usually have an hour then. If not, it's no big deal, I spend an hour or two online after they go to bed.

#7 Do what you love, and love what you do. This is so very, very important. Work is work. But when you find something that interests you, you are so much better at it. You are more devoted to it, you are willing to learn more about it, and it won't feel so much like work. You have to be excited about earning an income online, it is very easy to just say 'I don't feel like working today.' But that one day leads to the next, and so on, then when it is payday and you have a check for 0.00, you're going to wonder why. I know, I've done it!

So now you have an idea of what it would be like to work from home. It is still work, but YOU are the boss, and YOU keep your money. No babysitters to pay, no uniforms or career clothes to buy, heck-you can work in your PJ's all day! I have done that many times myself. You have to have the strength to hang in there when the going gets tough, because it will. But it will also get better, and probably much better than you had imagined. So now, find something you love, and get to it! In a month from now, you can tell me how much nicer life is, and less strenuous!

If you have a website about a topic you enjoy, you can make money from discussion forums. Talk, post links to your site, get traffic. Traffic means money, right? If not, try different affiliate programs or Google Adwords. The worst sites should get a couple cents per visitor. Now here's how to talk and make money.

Search "forum" plus the topic of your site on Google or Alta Vista. For my first site, I searched "backpacking + forum" and in the pages of results I found several good forums. I also searched related topics like "hiking" too. You can also check about.com, and other sites that have forums on many topics.

Registration is usually giving your email address and choosing a password. Some forums allow guests to post without registering. Once registered, browse the forum topics, and post a response to anything, just to "learn the ropes".

Income From Discussion Forums

The point of posting in forums is to get readers to come to your web site. Sure it's fun to give advice and discuss things of interest to you, but that's secondary. With that in mind, do the following:

1. Always link to your site. If they don't allow any links, find another forum.

2. Don't "spam." Sales pitches will be removed. Offer honest advice, or express an opinion, then sign off with your name and the link to your site.

3. Ask for help from others. This is an effective and acceptable way to "advertise." Enter a topic like "Can I get some advice?" and post something like, "I just started a meditation site. If some of you would visit and tell me what you think, I'd really appreciate it." Have a link to the site. People love to help, and to give opinions, and they'll click on those ads while they're at your site.

4. Look at total "views." Many forums show the total times each "thread" has been viewed. When you see some with many more than others, get in on those, or start a new thread on the same topic. Go where the traffic is, and get some of it.

I didn't like the idea of forums until I made a few posts, and saw my traffic and revenue climb for days afterwards. That convinced me. Almost daily, I have people contact me, saying they have ten or twenty web sites, yet they rarely make more than a few hundred bucks a month.

This is what they are doing wrong.

They have a prairie business, when what they really need to make big money is a mine. So what's the difference?

The difference is width, versus depth. Sure, they have plenty of web sites, but none of these have any depth. You see, a web site without depth and substance is just that -- a web site. It is not a proper business, built on solid foundation with a definite marketing plan to attract visitors, keep them coming back and turn them into loyal repeat customers. Oh, and yes, when they are visiting your web site on a regular basis you can be quite relaxed about them clicking an AdSense ad as they leave, giving you a few extra cents of income, because you know they will be back.

But if you haven't already built in reasons for your visitors, prospects and customers to keep on returning to your site, you are mad to offer AdSense ads that encourage them to leave your site prematurely, probably never to return!

That's where the depth of web site comes in. Think of it as the furnace and generator in your basement that keeps the whole house going. It brings in the visitors, already warming to you. It convinces them you know what you are talking about. It demonstrates you are a trusted expert on the subject. It turns them into first loyal visitors and then customers and then loyal repeat customers. How close do you want to get to heaven without dying?

So here's the drastic solution.

I tell them to pick just one web site from their menagerie. But not just any old web site, because it must conform to certain strict criteria:

Then we take a in-depth look at their web site. Often, it's just a mini-site with a sales page. Sometimes the owner has jumped on the AdSense bandwagon and churned out a few pages of content with some ill-matching AdSense ads on a style that's like being poked in the eye with a stick!

Invariably there is notable absence of traffic coming to the web site.

So then I give them my five point plan for success on the internet:

1. Stop jumping on the latest bandwagon that rolls by and instead start to think like a proper business entrepreneur.

2. Start to build your chosen web site with quality content, to turn it into a resource that people will want to come back to, again and again.

3. Start to build traffic streams that predispose your visitors favorably towards you by demonstrating -- even before they arrive at your site -- you have something of value to offer. One of the best ways to do this is to post articles on web sites called article banks. These are then taken by other webmasters looking for good content. Either way, they get sprinkled around the internet and readers will be alerted to the existence of your site, realize you might have some more good information and come to your site eager to read what you have to say. All this costs you is a bit of time, but the results feed through for many months -- years even.

4. Focus like a laser on building a single web site that works. This means:

Visitors arriving at one end and a high percentage of loyal repeat customers coming out the other end.

The whole operation running pretty much on autopilot with only minimal attention required.

5. Once this has been achieved with the first web site, it is then okay to move on to the second one, following exactly the same strict criteria and procedures as the first.

That's the only way to build solid streams of multiple income, that pretty much work on autopilot.

When getting traffic to your site make sure you bring the CORRECT traffic. If you are bringing someone to your site that is out on the web to buy cloths, and you are selling a book they more then likely will not purchase your item. I mean everyone has a hard time with their kids and might possibly spend some money for some advice or solutions that would make their lives easier. Another one that is huge, and even desperate for answers, is the growing number of people looking for care for their aging parents.

When someone gets a debilitating disease and can't fend for themselves, they will do anything or pay anything just to get some help and keep their dignity.

Those are just a couple examples.

There are so many different markets. There are just millions of them.

You’ve got to come up with one that is hungry with a real need and where there is money to spend.

Just remember, the market you sell to doesn't have to be sexy and it doesn't have to be exciting. It just has to be big, passionate and filled with people who are not afraid to spend money.

I discovered something very, very interesting this last Monday.

How I Made A Fortune On Ebay Using Dropshippers... And Then Lost It All - Kevin Nobleman

I first found out about dropshipping back in June of 2001 a little after I started a not-so-profitable business on eBay selling cell phone accessories and such. I saw dropshipping as an all profit method of business. You don't pay for shipping. You don't pay for inventory. You basically just advertise the product on auction websites such as eBay, take orders, collect the money, and pay the set amount for each item to the dropshipper keeping the remaining amounts for yourself as profits. I now realize that it is only that easy when you're dealing with the right person.

I first started dropshipping with a guy named Chris. I was selling Nike Air Jordans on eBay. I saw that Jordans are real popular on eBay and people pay huge amounts for them. I've seen some pairs go for $1,000+. Chris only charged me $67 a pair. So, I basically just doubled the price and sold them on eBay for $134 a pair. I sold about 20 pairs of shoes within a week giving me a profit of $1,340. I suddenly became happy with the success I had because obtaining over $1,000 in a week at the age of 19 is pretty rare. So, I wanted to start putting up way more auctions so that I could make way more money. Unfortunately, this is when Chris became unreliable. He never returned any of my e-mails and never got back online. Plus, he only had shipped half of the 20 orders I had. So, I decided that I needed a replacement quick before I started to have some unhappy customers on my hands.

This now brought me to dropshipper #2. I talked to the guy about the situation and he said that he would be able to handle it. I paid him for the remaining 10 orders I had left and he shipped the shoes off to my customers. I respected the fact that he picked up right where my previous dropshipper had left off at and took care of business. So, I assumed that this guy was all about business and was a very reliable and legitimate dropshipper. So, I started to put up more buy it now auctions and these shoes were selling faster than I could put them up for auction. This is the unbelievable part. I had sold 250 pairs of shoes in a matter of 4 days. I collected over $40,000 in 4 days. That's $10,000 a day! This came as an amazement to me especially since I was only 19 at the time. I've made some people's yearly salaries in a matter of only 4 days. Little did I know though that I was in over my head. I got a little too greedy and started to splurge on money that wasn't even mine yet; buying clothes, shoes, and even put a $1,000 down payment on a new car. My dropshipper shipped my first 30 orders only to find out that he had shipped off nothing but all wrong sizes and wrong colors. So, I had a lot of complaining customers. Some even went straight to PayPal to complain causing PayPal to limit access to my account. So, now I had over $40,000 sitting in my PayPal account that I had absolutely no access to and over 200 orders that need to be shipped off. So, my only option was to refund everyone their money back to get my PayPal account back to regular standing, which brought me to my next dilemma...

I spent almost $4,000 of the $40,000 I thought would be mine to keep. So now, my Paypal balance was negative $4,000 and I needed to come up with that $4,000 quick before PayPal took legal action to get that money. I thought the only way to get me out of this mess was by the same way that got me into this mess. This is what brought me to dropshipper #3.

I stumbled upon a guy named Jarell. I found him through a legitimate business website so I decided to sell enough pairs of Jordans to make up the $4,000 and then I'd call it quits because this was too much for someone so young. Everything went smooth and I was able to make the $4,000 using my girlfriend's PayPal account. Unfortunately, PayPal then limited access to her account also finding out that she was linked to me. This then aggravated me because now I had 15 orders that I in no way could pay my supplier. If I had shipped to my customers it would bring more complaints and negative feedback which was very bad for business. That was then, this is now.

After reviewing my whole experience with dropshipping in hindsight, I realized all of the mistakes that I had made. For anyone who is looking into working with dropshippers, please pay close attention.

1. Before going into business with someone who is going to be dropshipping merchandise for you, be sure to get to know the person really well. Don't go by instinct. Have a few converstations with the person before you start anything. Collect all methods of contact of the dropshipper for emergency contact.

2. I suggest that you do not start off having the dropshipper ship the merchandise to your customers. Order some of the merchandise for yourself and examine it thoroughly before you go into business. I started to recieve e-mails from angry customers stating that the Jordans were of terrible quality when I was told by my dropshipper that they were of authentic quality.

3. Don't bite off more than you can chew. As stated previously, I sold 250 pairs of shoes in 4 days. Within those 4 days, I had to deal with about 600-700 e-mails which is almost impossible for only one person to deal with that also has school to worry about. Patience is the key to success.

These were a few of the mistakes that I made dealing with dropshipping. I had a price to pay for my mistakes. I owed $4,000 to PayPal and I had a $2,000 eBay bill that I ended up working during the summer to pay off. My purpose in writing this is for everyone considering going into business with a dropshipper to take precautions and use the tips I provided. I would also like to say that even though I had a bad experience dealing with dropshipping, that is not always the case. I know there are some people who have become successful and wealthy off of dropshipping.

Five years have passed since I began my journey in this industry. I finally did pay off all of my debts that summer and have made it my mission to educate and inform people of the scammers out there waiting to ambush the inexperienced and naive. I wrote this article because I don't want anyone else to go through the experience that I did. There were times where I felt hopeless and bitter for falling into a trap that left me feeling depressed. Needless to say, I have learned from my soul-crushing mistakes and now make a decent living selling on ebay.

Here is a story that you may relate with and hopefully provide a couple of ah ha moments. About 3 years ago I was speaking at an Internet Marketing Conference in Orlando, Florida. On the front row was a bright eyed enthusiastic young man in his twenties named Rob.

I was one of the first speakers at the event and my topic was “How to Create a $5,000+ Monthly Income with EBay and Online Auctions”. I could tell during my presentation that Rob was getting excited about the possibilities of making money with EBay & creating cash flow with online auctions.

When my presentation was over several attendees went to the back of the room to invest in one of my training programs. Rob was the first in line. I discovered later that Rob had invested in my Deluxe $1,500.00 How to make money with EBay package which included 8 hours of 1 on 1 training and coaching along with the DVD’s CD’s and manual.

I noticed throughout the weekend that Rob invested in 3 or 4 other programs during the seminar. I thought to myself, this is good. He is a newbie and he is going to try to find the right cash generating program for himself. I had the opportunity to visit with Rob briefly towards the end of the weekend, and sure enough he had inherited about $10,000 recently and decided to invest that money into a financial vehicle that would get him out of his dead end job working for the airlines.

I reminded him to contact our office to schedule his first 1-on-1 coaching session and encouraged him that online auctions can be used as a marketing division with whatever business he choose, even if he didn’t want to do auctions as a stand alone business. Six weeks later, I was reviewing my client list and going through some records and I realized that Rob had never called our office to schedule his first one-on-one session which he had already paid for. I rarely do this, but I decided to pick up the phone and check in with Rob.

He told me that he had marked in his day timer to call me that week. He then went on to share with me three or four businesses that he had unsuccessfully tried over the past 6 weeks that had not made him a penny. This was a clue, that this gentleman definitely had unrealistic expectations and I made a mental note to discuss this during our first telephone consulting session, which we had scheduled for a week later.

Over the next 5 weeks Rob and I met on the phone once a week. My goal was to teach him how to make money on EBay and become a full time entrepreneur He got 20 items from his closet and garage on EBay during the first week and sold 16, which is statistically above average.

His second week using some techniques we taught he put $301.00 cash in his pocket. The fourth week almost $500.00 more and he jumped over the $500 mark his 6th week earning $711.00. At this point Rob was well on his way to creating a full time income successfully selling on EBay, and I knew it was just a matter of weeks until he would be able to submit his resignation to the airlines.

His sixth week, he didn’t call in for his scheduled training session. I assumed that something had come up and was confident that he would be calling to reschedule. At this point I certainly wasn’t going to beg him to continue his “self education”.

Three years go buy and I never heard from Rob again, until about 2 ½ weeks ago. The phone rang at our office and my assistant told me there is someone named Rob XXXX on the line. I thought to myself Rob XXXX, I know that name, how do I know that name?

(I use XXXX to protect the guilty, but I will personally be sending him a copy of this article)

I took the call, and as soon as I heard his voice everything came back to me. Rob, what happened to you? I responded. I will never forget his response. “Well you know what the problem is Mr. Calvert, there are just too darn many ways to make money” He went on to tell me that he still had his crummy job at the airlines, and all he had been doing for the past 3 years was basically spinning his wheels, trying one entrepreneur enterprise after another.

He said he made the most progress during the short 6 weeks we spent together learning how to make money on EBay and he was ready to pay me my consulting and coaching fee to get him back on track and his income to $3,500 a month with online auctions so he could quit his job.

I see this epidemic everywhere I go. Would be full time, home based, entrepreneurs that are suffering from information over load. They are a jack of all money making methods and a master of none!

I have to admit, at one time that was me. I became so fascinated with the Internet and the possibilities that I spent hours upon hours studying different systems and implementing few or none of those systems.

Always remember that the problem is not the project or the system. If other people are making it work, so can you. The real problem is always in the mirror.

The best money you can spend is on one-on-one coaching from a mentor who knows what they are doing. These type of coaches can take years off of your learning curve, and will pay you back 100 times what you invest in their knowledge and expertise.

I personally do consulting with people in three our four niche markets. I also personally pay a coach in another market I am in the process of mastering. I am always amazed that most of the time the people that hire me to coach or consult with them are already full time entrepreneurs earning strong six figure incomes. Yet the newbie will spend $97.00 over and over for the latest eBooks on the newest hot trend and never even consider hiring a coach. Listen, even Tiger Woods needs a coach!

Once you start a project, STAY WITH IT, until it is profitable.

Product creation is probably one of the most scary propositions online today. I think many people fail online because they are not willing to create their own product.

Sure, affiliate marketing is great, but you never have any control over the sales cycle, the sales process, or the payment stream.

With affiliate marketing, you are at the mercy of the affiliate program. If they pay, great. If they don’t, then what? With your own product and a paypal account or click bank account, you are going to get paid if you produce something worth buying.

So your first step is to simply decide you are going to create your own product.

Where do you go from there?

1) Decide what your niche market needs.

2) Do the necessary research to produce what your niche market needs.

3) Write an outline of all the information you have about your niche market needs.

4) Arrange your outline into chapter ideas. Every full idea you have should become a chapter. Each chapter should have at least 3 sections: a) introduction, explanation, background, b) complete how-to-do-it steps and c) a list of resources and/or references for further information. Never assume you have given all the information; sometimes just hearing it in another voice is what’s needed for some people.

5) Begin writing. This is probably the scariest exercise of all, especially if you have never written. Just do it. Carve out 2 hours a day for writing and just write. You are learning a life long skill; it won’t take you 4 years like your bachelors did, and this will pay better, if you get good at it.

6) Pull it all together, package it up nice, proofread it, upload it into a PDF, put a cover on it, and call it done.

8) Put the sales letter on the web and drive traffic to it.

9) Start over with a new product. Don’t let one product get stale before you create the next one.

If you want to sell products as an affiliate, where do you look? There are all kinds of affiliate programs to join on several major affiliate networks. There's likely to be lots of decent sales generating affiliate companies right?

I literally contacted the administrator of every affiliate website I could find. Posing as an investor, I managed to persuade the owners that I was seriously interested in purchasing their entire website and business. That way, once the cartoonish bags of money flashed in their heads, they would grant me free access to their member's areas to examine what I would be "selling". Well, I was appalled with 99% of what I found. Many of the owners actually bragged about how many people joined their useless non-paying affiliate programs. I repeatedly found:

* outdated links

* non-working links

* links leading to other sites that wanted you to sell crap

* no help section

* no real email support

* few if any sales

I quickly realized that these so-called affiliate networks were totally pointless. And the owners knew it, yet they were laughing all the way to the ATM machine! Needless to say, I didn't respond when they asked if I was still interested in purchasing their websites. Surprisingly, while sitting through all of the scam artist’s websites, I was able to locate a group of individuals that actually ran profitable and legitimate programs.

The owners were common folk like you and me that found a way to earn extra money working from home on their computers. Their membership areas were impressive, with a great deal of quality information on how to make $100-$200 per day on your computer doing very little work. I even chatted with a few of their affiliates in several online forums, and they confirmed that they were earning extra money using the information, support and products that the affiliate websites had provided them. It was like I found a few diamonds in the rough. But don't take my word for it, you can drop by the over one dozen sites I found. See what you think.

They DO NOT charge a minimal fee for access to their program, which is to be expected for any legitimate program that actually has people on staff who are dedicated to helping you get earning online. What a warm group of people! Anyway, if you do decide you are interested in any of the dozen companies, I advise you to join post-haste, as the owners have informed me that they are getting so many new affiliate members by word of mouth referrals, that they will be blocking off membership completely by month’s end. (By the way, you didn't receive this news from me!) They don't have a large enough staff to welcome many more people, and they are driven to providing excellent service to each person. Well, my quest to find legitimate online affiliate programs has come to an end. I have to mention I was profoundly disappointed with most of what I found, and I strongly urge you not to take any chances doing business with any companies other than the twelve I will share with you.

Adsense Doesn’t Just Make “Cents”, It Makes Dollars Too! - By Shon Christopher

If you are one of the many webmasters today who are trying to make money on the internet by any means possible, then you may have already considered joining the Google AdSense program.

If you haven’t yet made the jump to being an online publisher, let me be the first to tell you that you are definitely missing out of the chance of capitalizing on something that can be very profitable for you!

Google AdSense is the most popular pay-per-click program currently online, they have offered pay per click, in one form or another, longer than any other search engine on the net.

They’ve put a great deal of research and development into their keyword matching to ensure it is a profitable program. Not only have they been around the longest, but they also boast the biggest number of advertisers as well.

Google requires website owners to conform to a number of rules, including:

All pages must have at least one link that leads to it, without concealing pages.

All links must be active and work.

There is a limit of 100 links per page. Creating a hierarchy should keep your navigation clean and well under the link limit.

Tags, especially the ‘title’ and ‘alt’ tags should be explanatory and distinct.

When designing your site, create one that is helpful to a user; don’t design a page for search engines. Make sure you clearly define what your site is about.

Google forbids hidden text. Don’t colorize the text as the same color as your background, or even size the text so small it can’t be read. Google has been known to ban publishers who engage in these so called “black hat” techniques.

Google strongly recommends that you include a site map page.

They also strongly recommend you include a robots.txt file in your root directory. The robots.txt file tells website crawlers, like those that will match the ads with your website, which pages not to crawl. This is especially important if you want ads for some but not all of your content or if you have password protected pages.

Following the website design rules doesn’t make you bullet-proof, though. Even if you follow all of them, you may still be at risk of losing your AdSense account permanently or even temporarily.

If you are indeed banned by Google to display AdSense advertisements on your page, you can file a re-inclusion request. Although not very successful many times, it still gives a publisher a chance to get back into the program.

Here’s what you’ll need to include in your re-inclusion request:

Your account name

Your contact information

A list of changes you’ve made to fix any violations

A guarantee it won’t happen again

Reports and evidence of click bombing, if you have any (more on this below)

You should NOT include any threats to pull your business. Visit http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py to contact customer support. Keep your email straightforward. The subject of your email should be “Re-inclusion Request” to make sure it gets to the right desk.

Click Bombing

Click bombing is when someone clicks on one or more of the ads that appear on your webpage repeatedly.

While this seems like a great way to increase your profits, it is against Google’s policy and they are always searching for click bombers. While you can’t prevent malicious click bomb attacks, you can take steps to defend yourself should you be accused of it.

Consider investing in a third party tracking software program that is approved by Google. Look for one that tracks IP addresses.

Run reports often, and keep them stored separately from your Google account. Should you be removed from the AdSense program, you won’t necessarily have access to run reports.

If or when you are removed or fined by Google for AdSense abuse, make sure you send copies of your IP address reports along with your re-inclusion request.

As mentioned before, even if you follow all the rules of appeal and properly request a re-inclusion, you are not guaranteed a reversal. It seems most requests to be reinstated are not acted upon by Google.

Google’s policy has been always one of “protecting the advertiser by any means necessary”. Unfortunately, this may mean kicking a legitimate publisher out of the program needlessly if they’ve been targeted by a malicious person.

Earnings Calculations

So how much money can be made in the AdSense program? Publishers can earn A LOT. From 10 cents a day, to over one hundred thousand dollars a day. Of course this is all dependant on how much traffic your website gets as well as how well you integrate the advertisements. But how does Google calculate per click how much that you, the publisher, gets paid? This is the fuzziest of all gray areas in the AdSense program. Google admittedly doesn’t disclose revenue share or whether the ads appearing on your site are cost-per-impression or cost-per-click. What they do tell you is how many page impressions (ads shown), number of clicks on the ads, page click through rate (CTR) and your earnings. Increase your impressions, number of clicks or CTR, and your earnings will follow.

Alternatives

If you’ve been removed from AdSense or are just looking for another option, there are a few to choose from:

Yahoo! Publisher Network is very similar to AdSense. Experienced webmasters who have used both Google and Yahoo! programs believe Yahoo! is second best, but still a very good, profitable program. As it becomes more popular, more advertisers will jump on board with Yahoo thus creating a PPC race with Google.

Chitika – A pay per click advertising stream. They don’t have as many or such a variety as AdSense or Yahoo!, but are usually less expensive to advertise on.

AdBrite is very similar to Chitika, though slightly smaller.

There you have it in a nutshell, utilizing Google’s AdSense program to increase your own profits truly does make “cents”..and dollars. How much you can earn is dependant on how much targeted traffic you can get to your site as well as how well you can integrate the advertisements in the site design as well. The 4'Cs of Affiliate Marketing - Jason Hulott

If you currently run or are thinking about running your own affiliate program, then this article is for you.

There are 4 major things that each and every affiliate program needs to have if it is to be a success. Luckily for me they all begin with C so it is easy to remember.

Commission, Creative, Consistency, and Communication

Let’s take a look at each one in turn. To the affiliate this is the correct order of importance when joining a program. However, as the affiliate program manager this needs to be slightly altered but we will get to that later!

Commission

The biggest differentiator to the affiliate is money. How much will they get paid for selling your product or service? How you structure this is really dependent on the type of product or service you are offering but really you have 3 options. Pay Per Sale, Pay per Lead or Pay Per Click. There are other options but to be honest these are the main ones.

When deciding on what commissions to pay, be realistic. If you don’t really know how much you can afford to pay out then air on the side of caution. You want to pay out what you can afford to. Running a program for 2 months and then realise you have to reduce your commission payments to affiliates can be a program killer.

Creative

How many times have you joined an affiliate program only to find there are no creative to promote the program? How are they going to promote your product or service if you do not help them. You must provide the affiliates with everything they need to sell your product. If you had a real sales force, you would give them marketing materials in order to sell the customer, so the affiliate program is no different.

Banners, buttons, text links, HTML email, text email, classified ads copy, content, articles, and product reviews are all things that you can us to give the affiliate the creative they need to sell or pre-sell your product or service.

Consistency

Whenever you commit to running an affiliate program, be consistent, if you are sending out updates or updating creative on a regular basis make sure you remain consistent. If you want make it a certain day of the month. Affiliates will then get used to expecting things from you at a given time of the month. They can then almost factor that into their workloads. Remember affiliates can have two jobs, two hundred websites to manage so try to accommodate that in your thinking.

If you lose consistency, it will show the affiliate that you don’t care about there efforts. They will switch off you like a shot. Remember there will always be someone else out there running an affiliate program in a similar space to you. An affiliate will show loyalty if you treat them right.

Communication

Perhaps last but no means least is Communication. You need to communicate to affiliates for two main reasons. Firstly, to update them on any new product changes, new creative, new commission structures. So in effect , to keep them informed with what’s going on with you and your business that will help them drive more sales.

Secondly, you need to keep in touch will affiliates to make them feel important and to help train them. If you stay in touch on a regular basis and provide them with tools and training materials, they will learn more about driving traffic and sales to your products. They will be much more switched on to you for helping them.

Now I know some of you will be thinking that they will take your knowledge and help and use it elsewhere. Yes they will. But there will be lots of affiliates out there that will be joining an affiliate program for the first time or do not know who to do certain things and will feel loyal to you.

This is the most important C for Affiliate Program managers, building relationships and loyalty with affiliates through Communication. Think of it as an insurance policy so when a competitor comes along with the same product and offers the same commission or even in some instances a higher commission you will find you will keep your affiliates.

Running an affiliate program is a hugely rewarding project, get it right and you make a large sum of money of not just you but your affiliates too. Always remember the 4 C’s when constructing a program or revisiting a program which isn’t working that well.

If you are a personal chef, who already provides cooking services, you can expand your business with a line of products. You may publish a detailed cookbook that teaches others how to re-create your original recipes in their very own kitchens. You may videotape yourself cooking your favorite dishes, and create a Cooking DVD you can sell on your web site.

There are many ways to profit from something you love to do. Use the tips above to get you started on the road of creating more products and services from your expertise.

First, let's do a little recap'. As I stated in the first part of the article, "Make Money Online - The Latest Scam Disclosed", "refund policy scammers" affect the websites that make money online by selling digital products by buying the product and asking for refunds, while keeping the product.

Now I will give you some solutions you can choose from. But, unfortunately, all of them have some bad consequences, aside the good ones. The best piece of advice anyone that makes money online can give you is testing.

First, the obvious solution: get rid of the refund policy. This way you won't have problems with these scammers anymore and you can continue to make money online without them bothering you. The bad thing is that this solution might reduce your conversion rate, but like I said before, test. You might be surprised of the results and see that the conversion rate stays almost, if not the same as you had before. This has happened to others.

Next, I will give you some tips to increase your conversion rate if you decide to go with the no-refund policy and thus help your make money online business.

One thing you can do to help increase the conversion rate, sometimes even more than it was before you got rid of the refund policy, is to place a text just before the order form telling people that you don't have a refund policy because of these scammers and you don't want your product to end up on their hands. This actually worked out great for others and they made had more sales than before.

Another thing, probably the best, is to use trials for both software and e-books. For e-books, just give them few chapters for free and, if they like it, they have to buy it. Some gave away one quarter of the e-book itself, others even one third. This is a great way to build up credibility. You can even state on your sales page, if you use clickbank for eg., that clickbank reads your e-book to make sure it's all in order before it's put up on their website. This way you kind of reassure people that they will get what they pay for and not just those chapters you give for free and the rest...crappy content.

There is yet another thing, but this, in my opinion, can only be used by people who already have a rather high credibility on the Internet (and probably know this already :) ). The thing you can do is use testimonials instead of refund policy. It works out great for the majority of make money online business owners.

Another solution people thought was a software to disable the product in case of a refund. But this might work with software, but definitely not with e-books, because they can easily be copied to another text document and, in the end, the scammer still ends up with it. This solution is still debated, because, from what I understood, at the moment, there isn't any software that can't be easily cracked.

Well, that's it. I really hope this will help you make money online and defend yourself against these scammers in the same time.

How Fast Can You Start Making Money Online? - Sean Mize

One of my subscribers asked me the following question:

How quick can one start making money when one is desperate?

Here is my response:

I am going to jump right into this one first. That is a great question, and contrary to all the hype you see online about getting rich overnight, this is not a get rich quick business, although some people do get rich in a hurry. Some really do. But it is an inconsistent business when you are first getting started. If you have a list or are promoting a product already, you know that some days you only get 3 subscribers and some you may get 100. Some days you do not sell anything, and others you get four orders for $67 each. When you have 100 sales a day, then if it fluctuates by 10 sales daily it is no big deal--one day you get 90, the next 100, the 110, etc, and maybe down to 80 on another day. But when you have a small list and only 100 visitors a day--you get 1 one day, none the next, 2 the next day--not enough to pay the bills.

So if you are really desperate, and you cannot afford to go a few months without much income if it happens that way, then you probably shouldn’t be gambling on the internet to make you rich fast. But if you are not so desperate that you can take a few months and really learn the ropes, then maybe if you work really hard you can build a business.

You see, I think that one of the biggest disservices online is when someone sells something with the premise that if you will just do this and this exactly like I have done it, then you will get rich. What we can do online is show you what we have done, so you can model it. For example, if I share with 100 people the exact same methods that I use, and tell you to go out and do the exact same thing, what is going to happen? Have you ever gotten 7 of the exact same email from 7 different lists that you are on? The market simply becomes saturated with the one product that is claimed to be the end all and be all. So all you can really do is model what someone else is doing, who is successful.

I hate to say this too, but I do not believe it is possible to set up a true ‘cookie cutter’ online system. If you see a web site that promises that all you have to do is promote that one web site and you will get rich, I think that is bunk. Sure, if you are one of 10 people promoting it, yes, maybe you will make money. But if I sell the same web site to 1000 people, what happens? Nobody gets rich.

Think about this. I could sell my entire business. I could sell all my articles, all my auto responder campaigns, and all my squeeze pages. If I sold them to one person, he could do just as well as I do with them. If I sold them to 2 people, maybe they could do just as well. But what would happen if I sold them to 100 people? You know the answer.
